- telegram is better for privacy than the previous platforms mentioned, but not great. Don't do stupid shit on here. 5/10
- matrix is in a similar spot, while being decentralized, your privacy is in the hands of the owners of the homeserver you are on. varies/10
- signal is pretty good privacy wise, and especially security wise, but not perfect. 8.5/10
- simpleX has no user IDs at all, and has a strong stance on privacy. Pretty good. 9/10
- session is an interesting messager in which everything goes through the tor network. Strong stance on privacy. 8.5/10
- XMPP is an interesting case, I enjoy it a lot and it's pretty decent privacy wise, just use OMEMO and some clients offer routing messages through tor. 8.5/10
